Who am I
My name is Javier, and here are some things that describe me

I have created this page and this blog mainly to document my progress while I build a clothing brand. The Case Study section will contain any analysis made concerning the business and the brand, and the blog shall document my thought process and decision making history.
Why a T-Shirt Brand?
I have been thinking about building an online business for some years now. I have considered thing ranging from drop-shipping to blogging. After having analysis paralysis for a very long time, I decided to simply choose something and go with it. The starting point will be a simple T-Shirt brand, and I shall progress from there. This shall be a learning experience in many ways, since I don’t know much about:
- Building and running an e-commerce site
- Clothing retail
- Product design
- Blogging
- Marketing
- Niche selection
- SEO
- Things I don’t even know that I don’t know because I haven’t heard about them yet
Getting Started
It is a daunting task, trying to find out what I should do first. There are so many things that need to be decided.
Here’s an initial list from my business diary, in no particular order:
- Market research
- Decide business model
- Choose niche
- Design branding
- Design products
- Choose service providers
- Build a business plan
- Figure out legal aspects of building a small business in Germany
To keep things simple, I shall begin with defining a business model that works for me at this moment, and proceed to choose service providers. These first steps are documented in the following blog post.
Since the main goal for this project is mainly to learn, I have decided to adopt a philosophy of:
- Making informed decisions – but not overthinking
- Not looking for perfection – but a steady progress from simple to complex
So when in doubt, I will simply do the best I can. I can always backtrack and modify as I go along.
